LOWCOUNTRY DIGITAL PRESERVATION INSTITUTE
Offers immersion in digital approaches to Historic Preservation and Architectural History. Program takes a module-based approach, training students in emerging recording technologies and asks them to think critically about their strengths, weaknesses, and appropriate application. Project sites will include 18th- and 19th-century buildings in Charleston’s historic district as well as neighboring Lowountry Plantations. Institute will also introduce students to the historic built environment of the Carolina Lowcountry, Vernacular Architecture Studies, and Historic Preservation.
